World Bank report highlights delays in Albania's green development goals
A report on the Second Green Growth and Resilience Policy Program, supported by the World Bank, indicates mixed results in Albania. While overall outcomes are positive, several specific objectives are facing delays.
Key areas of concern include the reporting of state-owned enterprises, which have not yet met requirements for audited non-financial reporting. Additionally, there are weaknesses in climate performance monitoring within ministry budgets, with only 42% of programs meeting climate indicators against a 60% target.
Further delays are noted in the Social Fund, where local government reporting of specific budget lines remains at zero, and in waste management, where licensed producer responsibility organizations have not yet met market coverage targets.
