World Beach Day initiatives focus on environmental awareness in Carabobo

In celebration of World Beach Day, Julia Alvarez Barco, coordinator for the Carabobo region, emphasized the ongoing commitment to nature conservation and environmental awareness. The observance, which takes place annually on the third Saturday of September, involves massive cleaning and waste collection efforts across various aquatic spaces.

In the state of Carabobo, volunteers and organizations participate in cleaning activities in Puerto Cabello, Valencia, San Diego, and Juan José Mora. Looking toward 2026, organizers aim to move beyond mere waste collection statistics to foster a deeper, more genuine public consciousness regarding environmental respect and care.
