World Beef Expo brings 1,500 cattle to Wisconsin State Fair Park

The 2026 World Beef Expo is currently taking place at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, running through Sunday, September 27. The event features approximately 550 exhibitors and 1,500 entries, with participants traveling from 11 different states, including North Carolina and Texas.

The expo showcases 24 different cattle breeds, ranging from common varieties like Angus, Red Angus, and Simmental to less frequent breeds such as Highlands, Miniature Herefords, Charolais, American Galloways, and British White Parks. Board President Cody Quam noted that the barns are expected to be full and are open for public walkthroughs.

A major highlight of the weekend is the Supreme Drive held on Friday night, where the top five heifers, bulls, and cow-calf pairs compete for overall honors in the Coliseum.
