World Cleanup Day events organized in Netherlands and France

Communities in the Netherlands and France are organizing local events to participate in World Cleanup Day, a global initiative to reduce litter and waste.

In Hardenberg, Netherlands, a collective cleanup action is scheduled for Friday, September 25. The event will focus on the banks and waters of the Vecht river and Vechtpark. Participants will use canoes and SUP boards to collect waste from the water, supported by organizations such as Expedition Outdoor, Waterschap Vechtstromen, and Vechtdal Express. Similar efforts will take place in Gramsbergen, where the Salland rowing club will use canoes to clear waste from the water.

In Montfort-sur-Argens, France, the community is invited to gather on Sunday, September 20, at the Parking de la Palud. The morning session is dedicated to cleaning the commune, with participants encouraged to bring gloves and high-visibility vests.
