World Climbing 2026: Junior Championships in Arco and Nations Grand Finale in Fukuoka
The 35th IFSC World Junior Climbing Championships took place in Arco, Italy, from 18‑25 July 2026. Over 750 athletes from 68 nations competed in lead, speed and bouldering. The Polish team fielded 17 competitors. Jeremi Fedorowski‑Gawryś placed 39th in the U17 men’s lead, while Zuzanna Sygulska was 51st in the U17 women’s lead. In speed, Antoni Marcisz and Maksymilian Myśliwiec reached the final, finishing 10th and 13th respectively.
Later in the year, Fukuoka, Japan, will host the Nations Grand Finale (5‑8 Nov) and the final edition of the World Climbing Para Series (5‑6 Nov). The Grand Finale features mixed‑gender national teams competing in lead and bouldering, following a successful inaugural event in 2025 where Korea led lead and Japan dominated bouldering. The Para Series final caps a record‑breaking season that will feed into the sport’s debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, with a ten‑person Polish paraclimbing squad set to compete.
