World Culinary Awards recognize global gastronomy leaders in Jamaica

The seventh annual World Culinary Awards were held at Princess Grand Jamaica, recognizing global leaders in the culinary, hospitality, and tourism sectors.

The top honors included The Cullinan Dubai being named ‘Best Restaurant in the World’ and Don Alfonso 1890 from Canada receiving the title of ‘World’s Best Dining Experience’. Other major recognitions were awarded to La Pergola @ Rome Cavalieri as the Best Hotel Restaurant in the World, Quipas Restaurant in Peru as the Best New Restaurant in the World, Nobu as the Best Culinary Brand in the World, and the Saigontourist Group Culinary Culture, Delicacies Festival as the World Culinary Festival.

Regional and destination awards included the United States and New York City as the Best Culinary Destinations in the World. Other regional winners included South Africa for Africa, Bangkok for Asia, Jamaica for the Caribbean, Barcelona for Europe, Peru for Latin America, and Sydney for Oceania.
