Justin Bieber, Madonna, BTS, Shakira see streaming surge after World Cup halftime show

The first-ever FIFA World Cup 2026 halftime show, staged just outside New York, featured Justin Bieber, Madonna, BTS and Shakira (with Burna Boy). Music‑analytics firm Luminate reported that streams of the songs performed jumped noticeably in the days surrounding the final.

Global streams of Bieber’s “Everything Hallelujah” rose 110%, from 592,000 to about 1.25 million. Madonna’s “Music” gained 66% (193,000 → 321,000) and BTS’s “Dynamite” increased 43% (2.14 → 3.05 million). The official World Cup anthem “Dai Dai” by Shakira and Burna Boy grew 24% worldwide, with a 52% rise in the United States alone. In Brazil the track entered the Spotify Top 20, adding millions of new plays and reinforcing its post‑tournament popularity.

Luminate noted that the spikes were limited to the specific songs performed, not the artists’ full catalogues, echoing patterns seen after major sports halftime shows.
