World Cup 2026 knockout stage match schedule unveiled

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has moved into the knockout phase after the group stage concluded. Thirty‑two teams remain, with the first round of elimination matches beginning on Sunday, 28 June. Canada opened the round by defeating South Africa 1‑0.

The schedule lists the upcoming fixtures: Brazil face Japan on 29 June, followed by Germany vs Paraguay and the Netherlands vs Morocco later that day. Subsequent match‑ups include Ivory Coast vs Norway, France vs Sweden, Mexico vs Ecuador and a series of games on 1 July featuring England vs DR Congo, Belgium vs Senegal and the United States vs Bosnia. The knockout round continues through 2 July with Spain vs Austria, Portugal vs Croatia and concludes on 3 July with Switzerland vs Algeria, Australia vs Egypt, Argentina vs Cape Verde, and Colombia vs Ghana.

Winners will advance toward the quarter‑finals and beyond, with the tournament set to determine the next world champion.
