Rai expands summer lineup with new radio show, World Cup coverage and strong TV ratings

Rai Radio2 launched a new summer program called “Puzzle”. The weekly show airs on Mondays from 22:00 to 23:00, hosted by Riccardo Panzetta and Jodie Alivernini with contributions from Alessandro Berrettoni and Leonardo Sinibaldi. Each of the ten episodes dissects everyday life into small “puzzle” pieces, mixing stories, data and sound.

Rai Radio1 published its World Cup 2026 broadcast schedule, listing round‑of‑16 matches such as Brazil vs Japan (June 29) and Costa d’Avorio vs Norway, with live commentary slots spanning late June to early July.

Television audience data for 29 June showed Rai 1’s “Notti Mondiali” drawing 1.839 million viewers (13.6 % share). Other programmes recorded notable figures: “Affari Tuoi” (3.293 million), “La Ruota della Fortuna” (4.381 million) and various channel offerings. Stefano De Martino was used as a filler in prime‑time slots.

A separate Rai weekday schedule for 29 June listed news, interviews and an “anti‑prohibition” segment, featuring discussions on politics, economics and social issues.
