The FIFA World Cup has spurred a notable rise in activity on the dating platform 3Fun. During the tournament’s peak (June 23 – July 12), the app recorded a 6.13% increase in daily active users, adding more than 275,000 participants, 446,491 messages sent, and a 5.71% jump in match rates, creating roughly 50,000 new connections. Growth was strongest in Spain (+37.56%) and Argentina (+26.62%), with France, Mexico and several U.S. cities also reporting double‑digit increases. 3Fun’s new “Roaming” feature, allowing users to explore virtual communities abroad, saw its top destinations include São Paulo, Brazil; New York and Los Angeles in the United States.
At the same time, broader fan interest is intensifying ahead of the tournament. England’s squad is highlighted for its blend of youth and experience, with tactical flexibility cited as a key factor for success. Social media and real‑time platforms are amplifying fan engagement, turning matches into shared, interactive events that influence both on‑field performance and off‑field behavior.
