World Economic Forum releases AI‑driven skills framework for manufacturing sector

On 23 June, the World Economic Forum announced a comprehensive “Human‑Machine Collaboration Framework” aimed at upskilling workers in manufacturing and supply‑chain industries for an AI‑centred future. The WEF cited that 86 % of global employers expect AI and information‑processing technologies to transform their businesses by 2030, while 63 % view on‑the‑job skill gaps as the chief obstacle to that change. The framework outlines reskilling pathways and workforce transition strategies that the Forum says will become a critical competitive differentiator for companies.
