World Endoscopy Organization conducts medical training in Ethiopia

Dr. Nina Oehler, a specialist from Vithas Xanit International, participated as an instructor in a training program for young gastroenterologists at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The initiative is part of a long-standing collaboration between the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) and the hospital to support medical training and improve endoscopic care in the region.

The program included theoretical sessions, practical training, and supervised procedures for doctors and nursing staff. To enhance learning, the training utilized endoscopy materials from Micro-Tech and a colonoscopy simulator provided by Fujifilm Endoscopy, allowing residents to practice basic technical skills in a structured environment before working with patients.
