World Flying Disc Federation announces new representatives and festival success
The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has announced the election of three new representatives to its Athletes’ Commission for a four-year term. Caroline Tisson (Germany), Şevval Cihankaya (Turkey), and Benjamin Swanson (New Zealand) were elected via digital ballot during the WFDF 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships in Ireland. The commission acts as a link between the federation and the global athlete community, addressing issues such as health, safety, and competition structures.
Additionally, the WFDF concluded the 2026 Munich Frisbee Festival in Germany, which received recognition from TAFISA as a ‘Sport for All’ event. The festival combined the elite World Freestyle Flying Disc Championships with inclusive grassroots programming. To encourage accessibility, community activities were offered without registration fees, featuring workshops in Wheelchair Ultimate, disc golf, and beginner sessions for Ultimate and Double Disc Court.
