World Knowledge Forum opens in Seoul to discuss AI future
The 27th World Knowledge Forum has opened in Seoul, South Korea, under the theme ‘The Promethean Moment: Architecting the Co-Intelligence Order.’ The three-day event brings together global political leaders, scientists, and business pioneers to discuss the future of humanity in the age of artificial intelligence.
Former British Prime Minister David Cameron delivered the opening address. Cho Jeong-sik, Speaker of South Korea’s National Assembly, noted that AI is transitioning into a tool for a new civilization, fundamentally altering work and daily life. However, Cho warned of ethical and social risks, including job displacement, inequality, and human alienation. He emphasized that technological progress must be guided by human dignity and should aim to expand human potential rather than replace it.
