World-Leading Track & Field Performances Highlight National Championships

Four Ole Miss athletes competed at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships in New York. Sprinter Jordan Urrutia placed seventh in the men’s 200‑metre final after advancing from the heats, while teammate Dekell Minor ran a personal‑best 10.13 seconds to reach the 100‑metre semifinals. Aiden Britt finished 11th in the 10,000 metres and Arvesta Troupe cleared 2.12 m in the high jump. Coaches praised their season‑ending efforts.

Across more than 30 national championships worldwide, athletes set multiple world‑leading marks. Noah Lyles matched his personal best of 9.79 seconds to win his 10th U.S. title, Brazil’s Alison Dos Santos recorded 46.68 seconds in the 400‑metre hurdles, Greece’s Miltiadis Tentoglou jumped 8.66 m in the long jump, and Andy Díaz Hernández achieved 17.87 m in the triple jump in Italy. Additional records included Emma Zapletalová’s 22.67 s 200 m in the Czech Republic and Samuel Vessala’s 44.24 s 400 m in France.
