World Leaks breaches manufacturer, exposing iPhone 18 Pro technical data
A hacking group known as World Leaks has breached Tata Electronics, a manufacturer in India, resulting in the theft of over 630 GB of confidential data across more than 200,000 files. The stolen information, which has been published on the dark web, includes highly sensitive technical documents for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The leak contains details regarding the A20 Pro chip, new modem specifications, and prototype photos of devices undergoing drop tests. It also includes a 52-page document outlining Apple’s quality control regulations and the full names of suppliers for critical components such as processors, batteries, and cameras.
Because Tata Electronics also produces components for Tesla, technical files belonging to Tesla were discovered within the leaked data. This incident highlights the security risks faced by third-party manufacturers that handle production lines for multiple major technology companies.
