World Mental Health Day events held in Syria and Saudi Arabia

Various organizations held events to mark World Mental Health Day, focusing on awareness and community support.

In Aleppo, Syria, the National Library hosted a central event organized by the Directorate of Culture in collaboration with the Syrian Care Foundation and Platiflora. The activities included dialogue sessions, interactive workshops, and theatrical performances aimed at breaking the social stigma surrounding mental illness. Officials emphasized that psychological care is a vital pillar for societal recovery following years of displacement and crisis-related pressures.

In Saudi Arabia, the Kafa Association participated in a mental health forum held at Umm Al-Qura University. The association presented an awareness exhibition focused on the prevention of smoking and drug abuse and their impacts on mental health. During the event, Kafa was honored for its contributions to community partnership and its efforts in promoting health awareness and early intervention.
