World of Warcraft: Midnight receives 12.1 update

Blizzard Entertainment has released the 12.1 content update for World of Warcraft: Midnight, titled ‘The Curse of Ula’tek’. The update introduces the Coiled Isle, a new zone located off the coast of Zul’Aman, where players can explore the history of the Amani people while navigating cursed waters and new threats.

Key features of the update include the Altar of Fangs, a new three-boss dungeon available in heroic and mythic 0 difficulties. Players can also engage in new activities such as the Vaults of Atal’Utek, Curse Surges, and Cursed Fishing. Additionally, the update introduces ‘Lairs’ as an evolution of world boss encounters and provides quality-of-life improvements to housing systems, including the ability to save and export blueprints.

Season 2 of Midnight is scheduled to begin on August 18. This upcoming season will launch the Venomous Abyss raid, which features eight bosses, and will introduce a new Mythic+ rotation including the Altar of Fangs dungeon.
