World of Warcraft: Midnight season 2 introduces new rewards as season‑1 items expire

Patch 12.1 launches the Midnight expansion’s second season in World of Warcraft, bringing a set of new deep‑dungeon rewards. Players can earn a special cloak transmog, two mounts, decorative objects for their garrison, and new weapons such as the Apophic and Corroded Soulbreakers. The most coveted items require defeating the season‑2 Nemesis boss Azta'rec in the Poisonous Depths, which also grants the title “the Poisonous” and a unique toy.

At the same time, the transition to season 2 ends the availability of many season‑1 achievements and items. Key raid, mythic‑plus, mount, and achievement rewards—including the “Time Ahead” and “Peak Performer” titles and top‑1 % title—will no longer be attainable, and mythic+10 dungeon teleports will expire once new season‑2 content such as the Temple of Sethraliss becomes active.
