World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 2 launches with balance concerns

The second season of the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion has launched, introducing new raids, Mythic+ dungeons, and updated content for Delves.

In the PvP arena, players are reporting significant balance issues regarding item scaling. YouTuber Rextroy demonstrated that Protection Paladins can achieve ‘oneshots’ in PvP by utilizing powerful trinkets from older expansions, such as those from Mists of Pandaria and Shadowlands. These legacy items, combined with recent buffs to the ‘Shield of Righteousness’ ability, allow for massive damage spikes that exceed the capabilities of current endgame gear.

Additionally, players are looking to optimize their companions for the new season. Valeera has received a level cap increase from 60 to 80. Efficient leveling strategies involve utilizing the ‘Dundun’s Favor’ utility curio and ‘Sulfurous Sludgefish’ to reduce aggro, allowing players to quickly collect items within Delves like ‘The Ring of Glory’ to reach the maximum level in a matter of hours.
