World of Warcraft Patch 12.1 introduces new pet and emote changes

Blizzard Entertainment has introduced several changes in the upcoming World of Warcraft Patch 12.1. One notable addition is the inclusion of J’imothy, a viral raccoon from Seattle, as a secret pet. While data for the pet has appeared in the game files and its journal entry points toward Silvermoon, Blizzard has confirmed that the character is not yet available for players to find.

Additionally, Blizzard has updated the “/rude” emote for male Undead characters. The previous animation, which involved a gesture toward the groin, has been replaced with a character running a thumb across their throat. This modification was discovered by players following the Patch 12.1 PTR and has sparked discussion regarding the nature of the censored animations.
