World of Warcraft plans 2028 'The Last Titan' expansion to close Worldsoul Saga

Blizzard Entertainment released the WoW Midnight expansion on 2 March 2026, completing the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga. The company announced that the saga will conclude with the upcoming expansion "The Last Titan," slated for release in 2028. The expansion will be the twelfth major WoW installment, returning players to the continent of Northrend and revamping more than ten zones with updated graphics and story content, aiming to wrap up the narrative threads that have spanned over two decades.

In the current WoW Midnight season, players face a new seasonal boss named Azta’rec in the Poisonfall Depths. The encounter features a high‑difficulty "memory‑game" mechanic that requires remembering up to seven positions while dodging multiple simultaneous effects. The boss is available in two difficulty levels, with the harder mode described as a significant challenge even for veteran raiders.
