Healthcare providers launch safety and prevention initiatives across Europe

Various healthcare organizations across Italy, Slovenia, and Serbia are launching initiatives to observe World Patient Safety Day and promote preventative care.

In Italy, the ASL CN1 is offering free cardiological screenings and echocardiograms at Savigliano Hospital for individuals aged 18-65 with a family history of cardiomyopathy. In Monza, the San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation is hosting events focused on medication management and vaccination safety for oncology patients. Additionally, ATS Liguria is conducting community-based activities across five socio-sanitary areas to address safety in treating non-communicable diseases.

In Slovenia, the Association of Patient Organizations is organizing health walks and open house days at medical facilities to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and healthy lifestyles. In Serbia, medical conferences are highlighting the heightened risks faced by patients with chronic non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular and respiratory illnesses, due to the complexities of long-term treatment and frequent healthcare interactions.
