Vietnam and Russia expand scientific and educational cooperation

A seminar titled ‘International Cooperation in Science and Education as a Factor for Sustainable Development’ was held in Hanoi on August 26. Organized by the Vietnam Union for Friendship Organizations, the World People's Council, and the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the event focused on expanding scientific and educational ties to drive sustainable growth.

The discussions emphasized the necessity of international networks to address global challenges such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, the green economy, and climate change. Participants highlighted the importance of connecting universities, linking scientific research with social needs, and fostering multilateral cooperation.

A key focus of the seminar was strengthening connections between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. The event included representatives from various Vietnamese institutions, including the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, alongside Russian officials such as Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World People's Council, and Viktor Pavlovich Timonkin, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Vietnam.
