World Power Battery Conference to be held in Yibin, China

The 2026 World Power Battery Conference is scheduled to take place in Yibin, Sichuan Province, from September 3 to 4. Hosted by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the event serves as a major international platform for the power battery industry.

Key industry leaders, including Tesla, CATL, and BYD, are confirmed to participate among more than 120 global companies. The conference will feature eight specialized sessions focusing on topics such as industry policy, cutting-edge technology, new energy storage, and battery recycling. Notable planned releases include the ‘Power Battery Industry Development Index (2026)’ and a ‘Power Battery Technology Roadmap’.

Spain has been invited as the guest of honor, with officials from Germany and South Korea also expected to attend. The event aims to deepen international cooperation and explore the integration of power batteries with sectors like passenger vehicles, engineering machinery, low-altitude economy, and embodied intelligence. Yibin, known as the ‘Capital of Power Batteries in China,’ continues to play a central role, with CATL alone having established a 270GWh capacity in the region.
