World Press Photo Exhibition 2026 opens in Bari and Sinnai

The World Press Photo Exhibition 2026, a major international photojournalism showcase, is being presented in Italy. In Bari, the exhibition returns to the foyer of the Teatro Margherita for its thirteenth consecutive year, running from October 16 to December 8, 2026. The event features award-winning works from the 69th edition of the contest, covering global issues such as war, climate crisis, migration, social rights, and the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

Simultaneously, the exhibition has opened at the Museo di Sinnai (MuA), where it will be available for viewing until November 8. This installment highlights projects from the 71st edition of the World Press Photo Contest, which selected 42 winners from over 57,000 entries submitted by 3,747 photographers across 141 countries. The Sinnai location includes a series of educational activities, film screenings, and book discussions centered on photography as a tool for documenting contemporary reality.
