World Press Photo exhibition opens in Bari

The 69th edition of the World Press Photo exhibition has opened at the Teatro Margherita in Bari, Italy. Running from October 16 to December 8, 2026, this marks the thirteenth consecutive year the event has been held in the city through CIME.

The exhibition features 144 award-winning photographs selected from a pool of 57,376 entries submitted by 3,747 photographers representing 141 countries. The collection covers a wide range of global themes, including international conflicts, migration, climate change, human rights, and humanitarian emergencies.

In addition to documenting crises, the exhibition includes a section titled ‘Visioni di speranza’ (Visions of Hope), which focuses on resilience, solidarity, and human capacity to rebuild. One notable featured work is ‘Separated by ICE’, which addresses the human impact of political and social decisions.
