World Press Photo Exhibition returns to Bari

The World Press Photo Exhibition is returning to the Teatro Margherita in Bari for the thirteenth consecutive year. The exhibition, which marks the 69th international edition of the prestigious photojournalism competition, will run from Friday, October 16, to Tuesday, December 8, 2026.

The showcase features winning works from the 2026 edition, produced for major international news outlets and agencies including the New York Times, Washington Post, Der Spiegel, Time, AFP, AP, and Reuters. The collection provides a critical overview of contemporary global issues, such as war zones, the climate crisis, migration, social and civil rights, and the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

The inauguration will take place on October 16 at 17:30, attended by Bari Mayor Vito Leccese, Puglia Region President Antonio Decaro, CIME Director Vito Cramarossa, and World Press Photo Foundation exhibition director Babette Warendorf. On the opening day, the exhibition will be open to the public from 19:00 to 22:00.
