World Rugby announces 2027 SVNS 2 tournament schedule

World Rugby has officially confirmed the schedule for the 2027 HSBC SVNS 2 rugby sevens series. The season will consist of three tournaments held between January and February, serving as a competitive pathway toward the HSBC SVNS World Championship and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The series will begin on January 23–24 at the Talanta Sports Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. The circuit will then move to Montevideo, Uruguay, for the second leg on February 20–21 at Estadio Charrúa, before concluding in São Paulo, Brazil, on February 27–28 at Estadio Nicolau Alayon.

SVNS 2 provides a structured route for both men’s and women’s squads to advance from regional qualifiers through higher tiers. The top four teams from these three events in each gender will qualify for the World Championship to compete against elite sides.
