World Soundtrack Awards 2026: ‘Golden’ wins Best Original Song

The song ‘Golden’ from the animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ won the award for Best Original Song at the 2026 World Soundtrack Awards. Held during Film Fest Gent in Belgium, the song—performed by HUNTR/X (comprising EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI)—continues a highly successful run that previously included a Golden Globe, a Grammy, and an Oscar.

In other major categories, Daniel Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year for his work on ‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘The Drama’, ‘The Bad Guys 2’, and ‘Masters of the Universe’. Jeff Russo received the Television Composer of the Year award for his contributions to ‘Alien: Earth’, ‘Cape Fear’, and ‘Citadel’ (Season 2).

The ceremony concluded the three-day event at the Music Centre De Bijloke, which featured workshops and masterclasses for international film music professionals.
