World Vision Ghana signs MoU for rural WASH coverage

World Vision Ghana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asunafo North Municipal and Asutifi North District Assemblies to provide universal water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure and services to targeted rural communities.

The partnership, formalized in Goaso on September 24, 2026, utilizes a collaborative framework of pooled resources, technical expertise, and labor. The initiative aims to extend safely managed water and sanitation facilities while promoting sustainable behavioral changes through Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) strategies.

Under the agreement, the district assemblies will manage community mobilization, leadership engagement, and the enforcement of local sanitation by-laws. World Vision Ghana will provide technical training, financial and material resources, and oversee project monitoring, reporting, and evaluation. The program also emphasizes gender equity, social accountability, and long-term operational sustainability through professional management models.
