WorldGaming bans Meta Glasses at ICE and iGB Barcelona

WorldGaming has amended its ‘Good Neighbour’ policy to prohibit the use of Meta Glasses and similar wearable devices at its ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona events. The decision follows concerns from exhibitors regarding the protection of intellectual property and privacy.

Company leaders stated that the ban aims to prevent covert recording of video, sound, and images. Portfolio Director Margaret Dunn noted that exhibitors expressed fears that smart glasses could be used to compromise designs and distinctive features, potentially undermining research and development investments.
