Worldline sells Indian payment business to BillDesk for €60 million

Worldline announced the completion of the sale of its Indian payment operations to BillDesk, an Indian payments leader, for an estimated equity value of about €60 million and an enterprise value of roughly €37 million. The divested unit generated around €90 million in annual revenue and €8 million in adjusted EBITDA. The transaction is expected to be neutral to Worldline’s full‑year free cash flow.

Alongside the sale, the companies signed a long‑term technology and software agreement that will allow BillDesk to continue using Worldline’s payment software, ensuring operational continuity in the fast‑growing Indian market. The deal is part of Worldline’s broader divestment programme, which aims to raise €590‑640 million in net cash by 2026 to strengthen its balance sheet and fund reinvestment in core activities.
