WorldSBK heads to Estoril as Bulega and Ducati chase records
The FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) heads to the Estoril Circuit in Portugal for Round 11. Champion Nicolò Bulega and manufacturer Ducati are pursuing several historic milestones during the event.
Bulega, who has secured 26 wins this season, is one victory away from matching Alvaro Bautista’s record of 27 wins in a single season. He also aims to reach 52 career wins, which would place him fifth all-time. Bulega currently holds a record of 43 consecutive podium finishes.
Ducati is also chasing records, having already become the first manufacturer to achieve 30 wins in a single season. The team is currently on a 34-race winning streak, approaching their previous record of 35. While Ducati has dominated recent races, Estoril remains one of the few circuits where they have never secured a pole position.
