WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 sees French and Brazilian teams prepare for competition
Alexis Aubert, a former student from Istres, France, has been selected to represent his country in the additive manufacturing category at the WorldSkills competition in Shanghai from 22 to 27 September 2026. Aubert, now studying a work‑study Bachelor with Airbus Helicopters, progressed through regional and national rounds before earning a place on the French team.
In Brazil, Senac Pernambuco will host the final WorldSkills simulation from 18 to 21 August, offering a carbon‑neutral training event for Brazilian competitors. The simulation replicates the technical standards of the Shanghai contest and brings together participants from Amazonas, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul across nine vocational occupations.
Both initiatives aim to ready their national delegations for the largest global skills competition, highlighting the growing emphasis on vocational education and international collaboration.
