WorldSkills South Africa 2027 competition applications to open in September

Applications for the 2027 WorldSkills South Africa (WSZA) National Competition are scheduled to officially open on 1 September 2026. The competition invites students to demonstrate talent, innovation, and creativity across 34 different skill areas.

Eligible applicants include students pursuing qualifications at universities, TVET colleges, private skills development providers, CET colleges, or technical high schools. The competition is also open to those in apprenticeships, learnerships, or candidates holding accredited qualifications in related skills.

Managed by the Department of Higher Education and Training, WorldSkills is a global organization operating in 72 member countries and regions. It aims to promote vocational, technological, and service-oriented education to prepare the workforce for future job requirements.
