Worms creator releases free 30th anniversary expansion for Amiga

Andy Davidson, the creator of the Worms series, has released a free expansion for the Amiga version of the game, titled ‘Worms: The Director’s Cut 30th Anniversary Expansion Pack’. The project is an unofficial extension that has received approval from Team17.

Developed in collaboration with members of the Amiga fan community, the update includes over 40 custom levels, 50 new voice sample packs, 10 new terrain types, and new teams. The expansion also features a level styled after Llamasoft to honor indie developer Jeff Minter.

Davidson stated that the expansion serves as a tribute to the Amiga platform and its community. While the game was not released on modern platforms, the new content is compatible with emulators. The project marks the 30th anniversary of the Worms series.
