Data from the North Rhine-Westphalia State Criminal Police (LKA NRW) suggests that approximately 20 recent incidents in the state may be connected to organized crime groups or “Gen-Z” gangs of Turkish origin. Officials believe these groups may be targeting wealthy Turkish business owners for extortion, using shootings or arson as retaliation when demands are not met.
