Włostów Palace to undergo revitalization and park restoration

The Włostów Palace in Poland is set to undergo a revitalization process, beginning with the restoration of its surrounding 7-hectare park. The Opatów County administration has secured over 7 million PLN in EU funding for this initial phase, with total costs estimated at 10 million PLN. The project aims to preserve century-old trees while introducing new plantings, with a tender expected to be announced late this year or early next year. The restoration work is projected to last two years.

Following the park restoration, authorities plan to apply for Norwegian funds to reconstruct an 18th-century outbuilding. This structure is intended to house the Museum of the Polish Landed Gentry. The Karski family has offered to loan historical artifacts, including paintings and memorabilia, to help preserve the history of the lineage and the region.

The palace holds significant historical importance, having hosted notable figures such as President Ignacy Mościcki and the future Pope Pius XI. While the restoration of the main palace building is a long-term goal requiring substantial funding, local authorities are actively working toward its realization.
