Wout van Aert praised for balancing cycling career and fatherhood

Belgian professional cyclist Wout van Aert has received praise from colleague Oliver Naesen for his ability to balance a high-level cycling career with active fatherhood. Naesen, who noted the difficulties of managing family life alongside professional training and racing, cited Van Aert as a role model for being a highly involved father despite the demands of the sport.

In a separate discussion regarding athletic performance, a poll comparing the 2026 seasons of Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel showed a slight preference for Van Aert. Approximately 53.66% of respondents rated Van Aert’s season as superior, potentially influenced by his victory at Paris-Roubaix, while 46.34% favored Van der Poel.
