Wout van Aert launches WVA Mobile MVNO in Belgium

Wout van Aert WVA Mobile MVNO eSIM Telenet

Belgian cycling champion Wout van Aert introduced his own mobile‑virtual network operator, WVA Mobile, on 27 July 2026. The service operates as an MVNO on Telenet’s network, with the telecom infrastructure supplied by Liberty Global Technology Services.

WVA Mobile offers two eSIM‑only plans. The €13‑per‑month “Sprint” plan includes 20 GB of data, unlimited calls and texts, a 10 % discount on Van Aert merchandise and an extra 2 GB of data each time the rider wins a race or stage. The €35‑per‑month “Monument” plan provides unlimited data, calls and texts plus exclusive behind‑the‑scenes videos, virtual rides and other subscriber‑only content; newcomers who sign up before the end of August receive the first month for €1.

The launch was driven by Van Aert’s marketing team rather than the athlete himself and is billed as the first telecom service created by a major Belgian sportsperson. The first exclusive material is scheduled for the 2026 Vuelta a España, which runs from 22 August to 13 September.
