WoW Forever faces localization efforts and economic controversy

The community surrounding the World of Warcraft: Forever beta is experiencing significant developments regarding localization and in-game economics. The Polish translation project, WoWpoPolsku, has announced it will support the upcoming WoW Forever release. The team aims to implement a full translation base from the Vanilla/Classic versions, including quests, dialogue, NPC interactions, books, and user interfaces. While the project faces challenges due to approximately 1,000 new quests in the Forever version, the developers have adjusted their roadmap to prioritize this effort.

Simultaneously, controversy has emerged regarding the streamer Asmongold and his guild, Olympus. During the beta phase, players have reported disruptions to gameplay and trade. Asmongold has publicly discussed a strategy to monopolize rare crafting recipes within the game to force players to join the Olympus guild, describing the practice as a form of “customs” or a tax on non-members. This plan to control the crafting house has met with significant backlash from the player community.
