WPIAL high school football teams prepare for upcoming seasons

High school football programs in the WPIAL are preparing for upcoming seasons following their 2025 campaigns.

Bethel Park finished their season with a 7-5 record, highlighted by a first-round playoff victory over North Hills before a quarterfinal loss to Peters Township. Head coach Phil Peckich noted that a season-ending injury to Will Sabatos was a significant turning point for the team's defensive depth. Looking ahead, the Black Hawks must replace key players, including quarterback Evan Devine and running back David Dennison, with junior Max Novak expected to take over at quarterback.

Quaker Valley concluded their season with a 4-6 record, narrowly missing a playoff berth. Under first-year head coach Tom Eshenbaugh, the team is transitioning from Class 3A to the Class 2A Century Conference. Eshenbaugh expressed optimism for the upcoming season, citing the return of seven offensive starters and six defensive starters, along with increasing roster numbers.
