WPP secures Nestlé content contract and retains Coca-Cola global media role
WPP has secured a major integrated content business contract with Nestlé in Greater China. Following a competitive pitch, WPP will design and operate a new end-to-end content system for Nestlé’s brands, including Nescafé and Purina. Utilizing its operations center in Wuxi, Jiangsu, WPP aims to produce and deploy over 35,000 pieces of content annually through an AI-driven “spoke-and-hub” model covering social media, KOLs, and e-commerce.
Separately, Coca-Cola has confirmed it will retain WPP as its global media, data, and technology partner through its Open X unit. However, the North American media account—covering the United States and Canada—is currently up for review. This account, valued between $700 million and $800 million, is being contested by Omnicom and Dentsu following Publicis Groupe’s withdrawal from the process due to a conflict of interest involving PepsiCo.
