Wrap Technologies announces shift to integrated AI‑driven public safety platform
On July 10, 2026 Wrap Technologies (NASDAQ: WRAP) sent a letter to stockholders outlining a strategic transformation from a single‑product maker to an integrated public‑safety technology platform. The company will focus on artificial intelligence, advanced sensing, autonomous decision‑support and measured, non‑lethal response through its WrapShield™ platform, which combines threat detection, classification, decision support and proportionate response for law‑enforcement, border‑security, critical‑infrastructure, transportation and defence applications.
Key milestones cited include a favorable ATF ruling that classifies the BolaWrap® 150 as a restraint instrument rather than a firearm, an investment in Frenel Imaging Ltd., and exclusive U.S. and NATO commercialization rights for a thermal‑polarimetric sensing technology. Management highlighted expanding customer adoption, growing international partnerships, higher bookings and continued technology investment as drivers of long‑term growth.
Wrap’s product lineup now comprises the BolaWrap® 150 non‑lethal device, the WrapReality™ immersive VR training simulator, the WrapVision™ body‑worn camera system, WrapTactics™ training programmes and next‑generation counter‑UAS solutions such as PAN‑DA and the 1KC kinetic anti‑drone cassette. The BolaWrap® 150 is used by more than 1,000 agencies in the United States and 60 other countries and is supported by training certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST).
