WRC returns to the United States in 2027

The World Rally Championship (WRC) is set to return to the United States in August 2027, marking the first time the event has been held in the country since 1988. The rally will take place from August 26 to 29, utilizing terrain across more than 15 counties in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Knoxville, Tennessee, will serve as the rally headquarters, hosting the WRC Arena at the World’s Fair Park and the Knoxville Convention Center. This hub will accommodate team bases and fan festivals. The ceremonial start will be held in Nashville on Lower Broadway, featuring live music and community celebrations.

The course is expected to feature fast gravel roads, technical forest sections, and significant elevation changes, stretching from the Appalachian Mountains to the Cumberland Plateau. Organizers aim to create a large-scale event experience that combines high-level motorsport with Tennessee's hospitality and entertainment sectors.
