Wrestler Thekla addresses controversy involving young fans

Professional wrestler Thekla has addressed recent criticism regarding her behavior toward young fans during an AEW event. The controversy stemmed from a viral video showing Thekla using profanity while two small children stood nearby.

In an interview with Playboy, Thekla explained that the incident led to a running joke where she refers to her young following as her “toxic toddlers.” She noted that the situation was highlighted by Renee Paquette, who jokingly asked if Thekla was truly “for the children.”

Despite the perceived inappropriateness of the moment, the children's father reportedly reached out on social media to clarify that both children are big fans of the wrestler.
