Wrexham defeats Millwall 3-0 to secure first Championship win

Wrexham secured their first Sky Bet Championship win of the season with a 3-0 victory against Millwall at The Den. The match was decided by an early own goal from Millwall’s Zak Sturge in the 28th minute, followed by goals from Kieffer Moore and Jacques Ekomie to seal the win for the visitors.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson praised his team’s mentality and ability to handle the physicality of the match, noting that the side successfully controlled the game despite the challenging atmosphere in south London. The win moves Wrexham into the top half of the table.

For Millwall, the defeat marks a difficult period following a previous heavy loss to Southampton. The squad, managed by Alex Neil, has been significantly impacted by injuries, including a mid-match injury to Casper Norre, leaving the team having conceded eight goals in their first two matches.
