Wrexham prepares for Championship clash against Derby County
Wrexham AFC prepares to face Derby County at Pride Park this Saturday following a three-week international break. Wrexham currently sits 14th in the Championship with 10 points from eight matches, having secured a 2-1 victory against Southampton in their last outing.
To maintain fitness during the hiatus, manager Phil Parkinson organized a closed-door practice match against Wigan Athletic. The training session included various game lengths to ensure players reached necessary physical data levels ahead of a demanding seven-game stretch. Players such as Danny Imray and Ollie Rathbone are expected to be fit for the upcoming match.
Derby County enters the fixture in 22nd place, struggling with only one win in their first eight games. The team faces pressure under manager John Eustace as they look to improve their home form. Following the Derby match, Wrexham faces a challenging schedule including fixtures against West Brom, Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, and Sheffield United.
