Wrexham rejects two offers for Viking defender Henrik Falchener

Wrexham AFC has made two official offers to sign Norwegian international centre-back Henrik Falchener from Viking Stavanger, both of which have been rejected by the Norwegian champions.

The most recent bid from the Championship club totaled €9.5 million (£8.1 million) including bonuses. If successful, the deal would set a new club transfer record, surpassing the £8 million fee paid for goalkeeper Anthony Patterson earlier this week.

Viking Stavanger is prioritizing the retention of the 23-year-old defender as they prepare for their European campaign, which includes the Champions League play-off round. Falchener, who joined Viking from Egersunds in 2025, has earned two caps for Norway and was part of their World Cup squad.
